Effective hair masks with cognac

Cognac is an atypical component of beauty recipes, however there are folk remedies where an alcoholic drink is a key element. Cognac is especially effective when applied externally to restore damaged hair.

The use of cognac for hair:

  • Normalization of the secretion of sebum (sebum);
  • Drying the skin of the scalp and eliminating high fat content;
  • Local irritating effect - cognac alcohols increase the temperature of the upper layer of the skin, due to which the function and growth of hair follicles are activated.

Using brandy masks, you can eliminate the following hair problems:

  • Slow hair growth;
  • Alopecia (baldness, thinning of the hair);
  • Fragility;
  • Split ends;
  • Seborrheic dermatitis;

Recipes for masks with cognac

In folk medicine and home cosmetology, dozens of recipes for restoring masks are used, in which there is a cognac drink.

With dryness and split ends:

  • Mix a teaspoon of henna, olive oil and cognac with raw egg yolk, mashed to a homogeneous mass and apply to the roots and ends of the hair for half an hour;
  • Heated honey and burdock oil are mixed with turmeric and a spoonful of cognac. The mask lasts 15 to 20 minutes, after which it is washed off with shampoo. Caution: burdock oil and turmeric can dye your hair, giving it an orange tint.

To return the radiance:

  • Aloe juice (a quarter cup) is mixed with warmed honey, castor oil and cognac. The aging time of the mask is 30 to 50 minutes. The composition on the hair is held under the film and a warming cap;
  • 10 grams of brewer's yeast is added to the warmed milk, mixed with a crushed yolk and a tablespoon of brandy. Add jojoba oil or wheat germ to the mixture (5 - 10 drops). The aging time of the mask is 1 hour.

To strengthen the structure and color fastness:

  • Brew a tablespoon of oak bark with 200 ml of boiling water and insist under the lid for 4 to 5 hours. The strained mixture is combined with honey and cognac in a 1: 1 ratio. The mask must be washed off after half an hour;
  • A quarter cup of juice squeezed from peeled onion, mix with burdock oil and cognac (1 tbsp. L.). Apply to the hair along the entire length, having missed the ends well. After an hour, rinse off and brush the ends of the hair with balsam.

Against loss:

  • Stir a teaspoon of the alcoholic drink in steam-heated castor oil, add a pinch of paprika and 5 drops of any essential oil. Apply to clean hair and rinse off after 25 minutes. The mask gives a strong warming effect;
  • Replace half a cup of kefir in half with burdock and castor oil, add a tablespoon of brandy and baker's yeast. Then heat the mixture and introduce 2 crushed egg yolks into it. The applied mask is kept on the hair for 40 - 50 minutes.

For shine hair:

  • Citrus juice - 3 to 4 tablespoons;
  • Cognac - 1 tbsp. l .;
  • Olive oil - 10 ml;
  • A teaspoon of honey.

A mask heated in a steam bath is applied to washed wet hair, wrung out from excess moisture. After massaging your skin, wrap polyethylene around your head for protection and put on a hat. Wash off the mask after 30 to 35 minutes, but do not use a lot of shampoo.

If the hair remains greasy after applying olive oil, rinse it with water and a spoonful of apple or grape vinegar.

For density and growth:

  • Egg - 1 pc.;
  • Castor oil - 10 ml;
  • Honey - 1 tsp;
  • Cognac - a quarter glass.

Useful advice: Castor oil in the recipe can be replaced with melted coconut oil.

Separate and rinse the egg yolk from the protein. Melt the honey in a steam bath and inject heated oil into it. Stir in the crushed yolk. Cognac flows in at the very end. The mask is applied to the hair in a warm form with massaging movements. After washing, you can find a light clarifying effect on the curls.

From falling out:

  • Cognac (25 g or a quarter glass);
  • Honey - a tablespoon;
  • 1 yolk.

Olive oil (can be replaced with burdock or castor) - a little less than half a glass. The heated components are mixed together and applied to the curls along the entire length. The aging time of the mask is 2 hours. After washing your hair, be sure to use restoring balm.

To strengthen:

  • Three dessert spoons of a drink;
  • Honey (10 - 15 g);
  • Lemon juice (1 teaspoon);
  • Raw egg yolk washed under cold water to remove protein residues.

Stir a spoonful of honey in cognac and heat in a water bath. The liquid should not be too hot when you add the yolk and lemon to it. Rub the mask over the parting area and distribute along the entire length of the hair. The head is kept warm for an hour, after which the mask is washed off.

For dandruff:

People with seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp know how difficult it is to deal with this disease. It does not matter what form of seborrhea is implied - dry, oily or mixed. The appearance of white scales on the hair and, as a result, on clothes, gives great emotional discomfort. If you can’t reduce the manifestation of unpleasant symptoms with the help of traditional medications, try brandy masks.

To treat dandruff, it is enough to rub a little alcohol-containing drink into the scalp, preheating it. Cognac helps reduce excessive sebum production, as a result of which the amount of dandruff formed is reduced.

A stronger effect is given by a mask in which, in addition to cognac, salt and honey. You can also take sea salt, but it has larger crystals, so grind them in a coffee grinder. The proportions of cognac, salt and honey are 2: 2: 1. Remember that such a mask is kept for only 15 minutes, otherwise there is a risk of overdrying the skin and getting a chemical burn. ”
